Public art galleries, art councils, art professionals and mayors’ offices along the river, are being consulted to contribute to outreach efforts to include leading local artists in the We are A Grand River project.

Selection of half the artists will be based on this advice. This approach is intended to be both inclusive and community building. It provides a new incentive to foster relationships with local artists and provides an avenue to explore and engage with their work.

The selected artists will then be invited, as part of a mentoring process for less established artists, to choose the second half of the participants in the project.
