We Are A Grand River: Shanghai 2010 World’s Fair

On the other side of the world, on the banks of China’s Yangtze River system, the city of Shanghai hosts the 2010 World’s Fair with the theme “Better City, Better Life”. The Canadian cultural and public artwork “We Are A Grand River” will build a cross-national connection that links common Chinese and Canadian goals for Better Cities, Better Lives with an understanding that sustainability is the key. Celebrating these efforts, We Are A Grand River builds into a public art gift to be installed at the Shanghai World Expo.
